Camille Pandian Milner
She grew up saving ticket stubs and lyrics in the margins—tiny archives for a life already leaning toward the stage door. In her twenties she drifted through London’s after-hours: rehearsal rooms thick with amp hiss, Camden basements where the floor shook, and cafés where the best stories finally came loose.
Camille wrote it all down—on buses, in stairwells, on pub napkins, and later in quiet kitchens at 2 a.m. The city became a map of voices and near-misses: friends who turned into muses, bands that burned too bright, the long walk home when the streets sounded like drums.
Climbing up the Walls is her diary of that era, recording all the highs and lows amidst the whirlwind of parties, gigs, love triangles, and rock and roll scene rollercoasters.
Writing is listening for the echo of a city’s heart.— CPM
